Just for fun:
In Hawaii, you know you're local if . . .
It's really cold here this week. Today isn't expected to get out of the 30s and the low tomorrow morning is supposed to be about 20 degrees. Brrrrr!!!!!!! So I changed the picture on my website to a view of the surf from Diamond Head. I feel warmer just looking at it! No, not really, I'm still cold. But since it's too cold to be outside, it is just right for staying in and working on cross stitch. I am stitching the sampler for the Big Island. Still a ways to go but I'm getting there. Also working on small silhouettes of Hawaiian landmarks that I think will be interesting.
Just for fun:
Once again I have woefully neglected my website, blog and Facebook page. I am just finishing going through my mom's things and cleaning up the house and her workshop where she built her beautifully detailed miniature rooms and scenes. I'll post some pictures later. I don't know why I thought I would get all this done sooner. It's only been six weeks since she died. Sometimes it seems like six days, other times it seems like 6 months already. In a word, I miss her terribly. Cleaning and organizing has been therapy for me and I think one more day will see the job done. Then it's back to cross stitching with a vengeance.
The new charts, Hau'oli la hanau and Hawaiian Alphabet L are available now. I have several new designs underway and will post more about them later. As always, let me know what you would like to see in Hawaiian designs for cross stitch. Aloha and happy stitching!
Just call me Fran
So glad to finally have a website. Life is good.
